The newest additions to CYD’s Board share a passion for our mission and a connection to the students we serve.
Bob Delaney, one of CYD’s founders, passed away this month. Bob was a champion of Comprehensive Youth Development’s young people for its entire 25 year history. He served on the Board of Directors for ten years and was an active member of the Board of Advisors since 2007. Most importantly, Bob was a guiding light to students, staff, and board colleagues – an example of how to live a good life and make an indelible impact in the world.
Comprehensive Youth Development congratulates SoVonna Day-Goins, who has been named Chair of CYD’s Board of Directors. SoVonna is a Managing Director at Credit Suisse and has been a CYD Board member since 2017. She succeeds Pam Craig, a former CFO of Accenture, who served as CYD Board chair since 2012.
On behalf of CYD students and staff, the Board of Directors honored Pamela Craig for her dedication to CYD’s mission and leadership and said an emotional good-bye as she stepped down in her role as board member and chair.
The digital divide separating people with and without internet got a bit narrower last month, when Comprehensive Youth Development (CYD) began distributing hotspots and data plans to students who could not afford enough connectivity to fully engage in remote learning.
CDI couldn’t do the work we do without our extensive network of over 250 volunteers!
Thanks to CDI board members Jackie Krese and Sovonna Day-Goins, 30 members of our schools’ Young Women’s & Men’s Leadership Groups took part in a career exploration event on May 9th at Credit Suisse.
