Students

Comprehensive Youth Development serves young people from 14 to 24 years old on their path to adulthood.

Our Community

Our community includes students in grades 9-12 at The High School for Health Professions and Human Services, as well as older students ages 17-21 seeking a second chance at our two transfer high schools, Manhattan Comprehensive Night & Day High School and City-As-School. Alumni ages 18-24 may take part in our Career Academy at Borough of Manhattan Community College. Many students are new immigrants to this country; many are the first in their family to pursue higher education after high school. Some live with parents, some live on their own, some have children of their own. What they have in common is a fierce determination to create a promising future for themselves and their families.
