Dear CYD community,

We are looking forward to our spring roster of events that put students front and center:

• Our schools are celebrating Black History Month with student events and projects. It’s an exciting time!
• City-As-School and Manhattan Comprehensive Night & Day High School just held their mid-year graduations. Congratulations to the graduates!
• On April 17, we will host a Youth Perspectives event that convenes young people from our schools with policymakers and funders to express their needs and concerns. This year, we will focus on preparation for life after high school.
• On May 21, we invite you to join us at CYD’s 6th Annual Spelling Bee for Grownups fundraiser, where you will get a chance to meet our students and hear their stories. We are looking for new sponsors this year – more information to come on that soon.
