100 Years of Preparing Young People for the Future

CDI partner school Manhattan Comprehensive Night & Day High School was originally built in 1906 as The Hebrew Technical School for Girls. In 1919, Eastern European immigrant students prepared for the workforce by learning English, penmanship, stenography and millinery skills.

In 2019, MCNDHS still serves immigrant students from all around the world, and prepares them for professional opportunities after high school. Here students attend English language classes on their first day back.
