Post-graduation plan: I want to go to college and study education, maybe specializing in ESL education.
How CYD helped: CYD hired me as a peer tutor. I’ve worked with a few advisors, and they are always here to answer my questions. I’ve also gone on some college visits with CYD. Everyone at the school is so respectful and supportive.
Giving back: I came here a year ago from Kazakhstan speaking Russian and not knowing any English. This summer, I passed my English Regents exam. Now, as a peer tutor, I help students with English and Regents prep. I love helping people!
Dream: I would like to be a teacher. I love working with children, so maybe a kindergarten teacher. I would like to travel, find a good job, and be a successful person.
