On Veterans Day Weekend, CYD students from Manhattan Comprehensive toured the USS New York, an active vessel named in honor of 9/11 victims and forged using steel from the rubble of the World Trade Center. Thank you to Petty Officer Patrick McGorry for guiding us through this incredible experience and to Captain Benjamin W. Oakes and all of the Navy and Marines personnel who welcomed us so warmly.
