These are the healthcare workers of tomorrow! A cohort of 25 HPHS seniors completed CYD’s Career Leaders program this year. Career Leaders, a partnership with NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital, is a 16-week career readiness workshop series for seniors interested in healthcare careers. In addition to learning about healthcare jobs and how to apply for them, they participated once a month in career exposure activities at the hospital. These young people graduated with not only their high school diplomas but meaningful career skills and an understanding of the field they plan to pursue.
