I am grateful for the family that raised me, because they have taught me so much about myself and continue to every day. I am grateful for the amazing people around me – especially for the CDI College and Career Office at CAS for helping me every day that I’m with them and showing me love!

My parents are immigrants from Jamaica, and I’m especially grateful to my family and for accessible education. I’m also thankful for books – I’m a huge fan of science fiction and fantasy, and they really help transport me to a different world. So much of what I know is just from reading for fun!

I’m grateful for the opportunity to come to CDI for help even after graduating. I just took the city test to be a school safety agent, and I’m looking forward to the training program. I’m also thankful for my family, and all the old and new relationships that are strengthening in my life.

I am thankful to be playing on my school’s soccer team! When I was in Bangladesh, my school didn’t have a soccer team, but now we just finished runners-up in a city-wide game. I’m also grateful that I’m going to graduate high school. I really want to study computer science or accounting in college.
