The CYD NextGen Leaders, a dynamic group of early- and mid-career professionals, has quickly become an invaluable resource for the organization. The group’s initiatives include supporting CYD through fundraising, events, and hands-on engagement with our students. Their efforts in the coming year will continue to advance and amplify our mission, expanding our reach to new audiences. Caroline Abikaram, Co-Chair, shares more about her experience with CYD and what the group looks forward to in 2026.
What events or activities have you participated in as a NextGen Leader?
Since joining the NextGen Leaders, I’ve had the opportunity to attend a few events, my favorite of which was the Decision Day Celebration at the High School for Health Professions and Human Services. Seeing how excited these young men and women were to be accepted to their top choices for college was incredible and only reinforced how thrilled I am to be a part of this community and organization.
What do the NextGen Leaders hope to achieve in 2026?
Some of our goals include increasing CYD’s online presence and reach, creating a new donor base with the younger generation, and being able to positively impact students. We can’t wait to share our success with this community!
