Comprehensive Youth Development hosts a range of events with our partners and funders, from forums for the sharing of program experiences and insights, to celebrations of the youth we so proudly serve.

In December 2020, Comprehensive Youth Development hosted a briefing on promising practices that have emerged from our Career Academy, a collaboration with the Borough of Manhattan Community College. Since 2015, more than 250 young people have completed this healthcare certificate training program, and 78% have gone on to employment in the medical field. The Career Academy model is particularly relevant in the context of COVID-19, amid a challenging economy and a changing job market requiring young people to build skills, acquire credentials, and increase their resilience in order to succeed.
