Dana

Pursuing a Medical Degree

When Dana was just six years old her father suffered a paralyzing stroke. Observing and talking with the neurologists who cared for him piqued her interest in becoming a neurosurgeon. A first-generation college applicant with little knowledge of the ins and outs of the college application process, Dana turned to the resources of Comprehensive Youth Development.

“CYD has made my college process extremely easy. When talking to my friends that do not have CYD, I realized how lucky I am to have such a great team of people dedicated to helping me succeed!” Dana is slated to graduate in June 2020, and as of today has been accepted at more than a dozen colleges, including one of her top choices, which has offered her a full tuition scholarship.
