Doing the math
Financial literacy is a huge priority for students and their families when they’re trying to figure out how to pay for college. The majority of our students apply for FAFSA – the Free Application for Federal Student Aid – which can be a particularly complicated web to untangle. CDI counselors work one-on-one with students to educate them about all their options, and also put together information sessions for students and parents with speakers from the New York State Financial Aid, and they host workshops and presentations all through January and February to boost financial aid awareness.
