Bobbie Hernandez, CYD’s Director of Student Support Services at MCNDHS, is retiring this year. Bobbie has been the first point of contact for thousands of Manhattan Comprehensive students in need of counseling and referrals. That may include medical services, food pantries, a safe place to spend the night, and childcare options. For more than half of CYD’s existence, Bobbie has played an invaluable role, providing the kind of meaningful care and support that has brought alumni back years later to see her. As Grace H. said, “As soon as I met her, I immediately trusted her. She is so kind and empathetic, and she tells me the truth even if it’s not easy. People talk about Wonder Woman – well, she is the real Wonder Woman!” Bobbie will be greatly missed. We wish her joy in all of the adventures that await her!
