On behalf of CYD students and staff, the Board of Directors honored Pamela Craig for her dedication to CYD’s mission and leadership and said an emotional good-bye as she stepped down in her role as board member and chair. Pam joined CYD’s Board of Directors in 2004 and has served as chair since 2012.
In a special resolution introduced at the December 2020 meeting, the Board recognized Pam’s dedication to CYD’s mission and her stewardship of CYD’s growth and stability for more than sixteen years. They saluted her exceptional efforts, persistence, generosity and commitment that have helped guide CYD through two Executive Director transitions, the organization’s expansion from one to three schools, the development of the CYD Career Academy, a postsecondary training program model, a revitalized board, updated mission and vision statements, and the launching of the organization’s new name.
“Pam Craig has been an amazing leader not just to me personally, but to the board and to the entire organization. I am very grateful for her partnership and her friendship,” said Executive Director Michael Roberts. “But happily she’s not leaving CYD, just transitioning her role.”
Pam has joined CYD’s Board of Advisors, an advisory group comprised of former board members and CYD. “I am excited that I’m staying close to CYD and look forward to working with SoVonna as she and Michael guide the agency through its next chapter.”
